What is the Magic Tree?

The Magic Tree has been a part of the holiday traditions in Columbia since 1995. Will Treelighter carefully wraps each branch with mini lights, creating an elaborate spectacle that draws people from all over Mid-Missouri. As interest increased year after year, Will moved the tree from his little neighborhood to the current location in the Village of Cherry Hill, located off of Scott Blvd. and Chapel Hill road. This move gave visitors a larger and safer area for parking, as well as more room to sit back and enjoy the brightly lit tree. The tree makes its debut every Thanksgiving eve and continues to be lit every evening from 5pm to 11pm until January 6th. We encourage you to bring your friends and family to experience the marvel that is the Magic Tree, taking part in a holiday tradition that is unique to the Columbia community.
